Greece Classical Tour Meteora
Escape the modern world and take a four-day tour of the essential sites of classical Greece: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplion, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora. You’ll visit famous archaeological sites and museums, and experience the glory that was classical Greece.
1° DAY: Depart from your hotel/accommodation to Athens (or an agreed meeting point); for the CORINTH CANAL (short stop). Drive to EPIDAURUS and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo’s son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. Proceed to NAUPLIA (short stop) and through the plain of ARGOS arrive to MYCENAE. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of the King Agamemnon (known as the Troy conqueror joined to his brother King Menaelaus). In the afternoon depart for OLYMPIA, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and MEGALOPOLIS (short stop). Accommodation and overnight stay in Olympia.
2° DAY: Visit the archaeological site of OLYMPIA with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. Drive via Patras to Rion, cross the channel to Antirion on the “state of the art” new suspended bridge considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. (short stop at the bridge). Pass by the city of NAFPAKTOS and from there on, along the coastal road to DELPHI, known in ancient times as the “navel of the world”. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of ARACHOVA. Accommodation and overnight stay in Delphi.
3° DAY: Visit the archaeological site of Delphi, known as one of the most Holy Sanctuaries of the Ancient Greece. Many leaders, politicians, kings but simpe people also came here to ask about their future to the Oracle and have their sentences from the “Pythia” the Apollo’s God priestess. Depart for KALAMBAKA via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Overnight stay in Kalambaka (a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the METEORA Monasteries)
4° DAY: Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit two different BYZANTINE MONASTERIES. By your return you may visit optional a factory of Byzantine style icons. Return to Athens passing the monument of heroic Leonidas (king of Sparta) at THERMOPYLAE where he and his spartan soldiers faced the Persian king Serses opposing an unmeasurable drawback. The tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon. Drop off to your hotel/accommodation or to the morning meeting point or nearby.

Terms & Conditions
Booking and Payments: A deposit of 30% is requested upon the reservation and will be refudable within 21 days before the departure date of tour. No Refundable later this date. Balance within 20 days before departure of tour. The voucher issued will be presented to guide or driver.
Drivers: Drivers have to work under strict legal and time restrictions and therefore you will be dropped back at convenient stops, depending on the traffic conditions. Our drivers will do their best to drop-offs at your hotel or as near as possible unless stated otherwise. Your guide will be happy to assist and advise you.
Guides: On the various tours lecture in English, unless there is a previous arrangement to lecture and to another language. Guided Tour may be operated in two languages
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted but all tours make frequent stops.
Food and Drink: In the interest of the safety and comfort of all passengers, we ask you not to bring hot food or drinks onto the coach.
Clothing: Entrance to churches and monasteries visited in our tours is not allowed to gentlemen and ladies with no proper outfit.
Lost property: Whilst every effort is made to return lost property, MP Travel Solutions and Blue Med Holidays Ltd cannot be held responsible for property left on the coach.
Personal insurance: Is not included. Please discuss this with your Travel Agent or your Insurance broker.
Luggage: Overnight Tours the allowance is one suitcase not exceeding 20kg (44lb) in weight. A small amount of hand luggage is permissible. Luggage is carried at the passengers own risk and must be collected by the client.
Tour information: While touring, please note that seats are on a first come first serve basis. We may, at our discretion, require any person to withdraw from any tour if we deem their acts or conduct offensive or a nuisance to other passengers, and we shall have no further liability. We reserve the right to cancel any tours due to lack of demand and also to use vehicles as dictated by demand. We also reserve the right to alter at any time any price, place visited, itinerary or hotel owing to unforeseen circumstances. Every endeavour will be made to advise passengers in advance of any alterations which are deemed necessary.
In the event of any passenger not being carried for any cause whatsoever, no liability will be accepted by the operators beyond the refund of the fares. Should the passenger fail to arrive or arrive late at the starting point or during the tour, then no liability whatsoever can be entertained.
Accident or Loss: We have no liability for loss, damage , delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. We do not own or manage the, ships, vehicles, accommodation and restaurants used and we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators thereof. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tours.
General conditions: Each tour operates to sufficient demand. In the event of “Places of Interest” being closed, or road conditions en–route prevent the tour as advertised being operated, every endeavour will be made to substitute an alternative, but the company reserves the right to cancel or alter arrangements.
No servant or agent of ours can vary our conditions and any such purposed variation shall be of no effect unless it has been signed by the management of the tour provider. All matters concerning this booking shall be subject to Greek Law.
