Italy Tour Classic for Groups

1st day.
Departure from your town to Milano. (NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE). Arrival to Milano, welcome at the airport by our staff and transfer to hotel. Starting of the guided tour: the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, La Scala theatre where so many tenors, actors and sopranos were consecrated; the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio and the Sforza Castle. The importance of this town for Italian economy is due to its huge variety of factories, business companies, financing, ventures and all sizes industrial’s production. Famous for its fashion weeks, art collections, museum, shopping main streets and avenues, Milano attracts a large number of tourists also for the “Last Dinner” the supreme masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci. Lunch free. Your local guide will lead you to discover the beauties of the “Northern Capital”. At the end of the sightseeing return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

3rd day. Milan – Verona
Breakfast to hotel and departure towards Verona. This small town which is laying throughout the wonderful vineyards’ courtyard of Veneto region, tales us the immortal love story of Romeo and Juliet and their enemy families. But it is also important for the architectural, cultural and economic imprinting that grew up in the area, soon becoming one the main spot for poets, merchants, scientist etc. Lunch free. Your local guide will lead you through: Piazza dei Signori, Piazza Brà, Scaligeri’s Family Bridge and their graves, the House of Juliet and Romeo, up to arriving to the most significant and stunning art working: the Arena, which is actually hosting concerts, operas, musical and other shows. At the end move to Padova check into local hotel, dinner and overnight.

4th day. Padova – Venice – Padova
Breakfast to hotel and departure to Venice. Arrival to Trochetto Terminal, last border between the island of Venice and the mainland. Boarding to private boat and after 20 m. sailing arrival to Piazza San Marco, the heart of the town. With our local guide you’ll visit the Basilical Church of San Marco (in & out) which is a real architectural masterpiece with its various styles and lot of oriental suggestions like the domes or the horses. Close to the church you’ll see the Dukes’ Palace which has hosted one the most powerful and famous dynasty of governors and commanders during the long period of the “Repubblica della Serenissima”. Through a short walking you’ll also wonder the Bridge of Sighs, discover the incredible network of channels all of them connected by small bridges and have the chance to enjoy a sightseeing on the Gondola (on request upon extra charge) which last 30 m. about. Lunch in a traditional venetian restaurant. In the afternoon visit of the unique Murano Glasses Factory with its show room and the laboratories where the “Glasses’ Maestros” you’ll show how they create their artworks blowing into pipes and giving any kind of forms. Free time for shopping and keeping the visit of the town on by yourselves. At the end, return to hotel in Padova dinner and overnight.

5th day. Venice – Florence
Breakfast to hotel. Departure to Florence crossing through the Apennines, the backbone of Italy, arrival there and sightseeing tour of the city “Cradle of the Renaissance” under the Medici’s family supervision: the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore) with the Baptistery and the Door of Paradise, the Ponte Vecchio, the Straw Market, The Church of Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria, all the buildings, statues and fountains of great artistic wealth, etc. Lunch to a restaurant. Our local guide will be available for any question or doubt or to suggest you some alternative choice for the afternoon. At the end check in local hotel, dinner and overnight.

6th day. Florence – Assisi – Rome
Breakfast to hotel. Departure to Assisi, the hometown of Saint Francis. This small village is become one of the most important worldwide sites of Catholic Church and moreover strongly respected by the other religions and confessions, meeting point of all religious summits and peace’s conferences and boards. Our local guide will lead through the downtown visiting the Basilica of the Saint (upper and lower levels), the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli which is taking care of the “Porziuncola” the first house that Francesco built after his conversion to God and to poor life. The town is enriched by medieval buildings like the Town Hall and the Old Roman Theatre. Lunch in local restaurant. Free time for a promenade or shopping. In the afternoon departure to Rome. Arrival there and check in your hotel. Dinner and overnight

7th day. Rome
Breakfast to hotel. Visit the Vatican Museums, a huge network of 13 thematic museums of several eras; our local guide will explane you all the main sections and topics up to arrive to the Sistine Chapel, the masterpiece of Michelangelo (keep silence inside) with the stunning Genesis’ frescos on the roof and the magnificent Judgement on the main wall. At the end, passing through a narrow corridor and its step path, you’ll get off to St. Peter’s Basilica to wonder the “Pietà”, one of the most impressive sculpture of all times by Michelangelo, the Transfiguration of Christ by Raffaello, one of the masters of Renaissance, and its marvellous colours’ balancing and nuances’, with which the Maestro set in, as main character, the human being and his role through time and space. Lunch free. In the afternoon brief sightseeing of downtown and visit to Pantheon, Spanish Steps and the area of Baroque Rome, with Fontana di Trevi where you can renove your vows to back here throwing a coin into it  At the end back to hotel dinner and overnight.

8th day. Rome/Departure
Breakfast. Rest of day free until the time of transfer to the airport. End of services.
